Can there be a fake Rawlings basketball?

I checked the ball and it has a TEN written on it and it has like a cross hatching thing going on. I went to the website and the Rawlings it didn’t have the same look. My cousins got it for me and I think its used.

It could be used, or it could be counterfeit. Any licensed product like that is going to have some crook try to cash in by producing a cheap knock-off. Was it packaged, or did they just give you the ball by itself?
