Basketball Shooting Coach
Do the duties of a coach depends on what the coach for that sport? If so, what are the duties of a basketball coach?
I know a coach that people have told me they do not know how to do his job as coach. Therefore, I am curious to see what the basketball coaches, coaches, in general, or experienced basketball players would have to say about what should be required of a good coach. Most importantly, they began to someone you team, which clearly has an intense love of the game, a positive attitude, general skills of great work ethic, and good (particularly in shooting), but just need a better knowledge and understanding of the game and then work with them in the preseason to get caught up in knowing and understanding the game before the season starts. … I'm Sorry, I know it's a difficult question. However, if you're a basketball coach, the coach, in general, or a seasoned basketball player, or even if only one person at random browsing questions about basketball and really feel you have an answer this, I encourage you to give it a shot. =)
I would like think that a basketball coach shares many aspects and characteristics with the team coaches. For example, it is important for all coaches who have a strategy or a protocol that allows a team to win games. Secondly, a coach knows that discipline and justice is a must have. Finally, a coach must have basketball, football, baseball, IQ etc. They have to know how to play the game and how the game inside out. A basketball coach also has the right individual of any other sport. They need to know to put on the court, it is best to keep opponents, opponents weaknesses, your own computer weaknesses and how to correct them if possible. They have to recognize problems and work to solve them. If the problem is not solvable, they have to create problems for the opposing team or make changes to the list. A player that has an intensity, positive attitude, good work ethics and skills, but lacks the b-ball skills and IQ is a good investment. A coach who almost have no reason to contribute to the development of a player. I would not say that a player with potential should be worked only in the preseason .. But it would wise he / she play in regular season games so you can get first hand experience (b-ball IQ can develop much more effective in this way) and teach them all year. Because basketball is a fast-paced game that allows players to quickly learn undeveloped. Hope this helped.

50 Shooting Drills (DVD)
$39.99
with Barry Brodzinski, Five-Star Basketball Shooting Instructor Shooting is hard work! In 20 years of experience as the shooting instructor at the legendary Five-Star Basketball Camps, Coach Brodzinski has taught thousands of players. His experience indicates that even great players don't properly use shooting drills to elevate them to the next level. Likewise, coaches at times are limited in their experience to incorporate shooting drills into their practices so that players improve their shooting daily. By utilizing the drills on this DVD, players can easily take 500 shots in an hour workout and truly improve their shooting. Coaches can build these drills into the framework of their practice sessions. The first half of this DVD is dedicated to 25 Individual shooting drills. Warm-up shooting, shooting on the move, triangle shooting drill, post shooting drills, full court shooting, and the Combo 24 free throw conditioning drill are highlights. Players who work out on their own must go at game speed, set shots made goals, and never leave the court without making the last shot. The final 25 drills, coaches shooting drills, focus on Multi-player shooting drills; they are beneficial because they rely on good passing, teamwork, excellent communication, and hard work. Shooting drills such as Beat the Ghost, Distraction drill, full court dribble shooting, corner shooting, shuffle shooting, and team partner shooting drills are creative and demanding. As players work on shooting technique and accuracy, they also improve their conditioning. Overall, these 50 fast-paced drills can be added into your individual or team workouts. With reinforcement of proper technique and a high degree of repetition, players will gain greater confidence, and success, as a shooter! 72 minutes. 2006.

Grassroots Basketball: Intense Shooting Drills at Game Speed (DVD)
$39.99
with Ganon Baker, Nike Basketball Training Specialist, Ambidextrous Shooting Coach, World-renowned Instructor and Clinician with Boo Williams, Legendary Coach, Clinician, and AAU Boys Basketball National Chairman Ganon Baker has done it again with a breakthrough shooting workout that has it all. Footwork, shooting mechanics, teaching points and drills are on display in this intense one-hour workout. On this DVD, Baker instructs youth-team players on the lost art of shooting. Players learn how to find shots in four ways: Catch & Shoot, Shoot on the move, Dribble & Shoot and Shoot off the fake. Average players can become offensive threats by working on these four facets of shooting. Because many players waste practice time with half-hearted shots, this DVD preaches players to practice game shots at game spots at game speed. The workout shows how the serious player can use practice time to improve his shooting and scoring ability daily. Shooting mechanics depend on perfect feet by pointing 10 toes to the rim. A quick one motion shot is demonstrated that will help players shoot quicker and straighter. Jump shot basics are covered with six superior drills, including the demanding five spot shooting drill. An underrated aspect of the game is shot faking. When the fake is short, quick and balanced, the defender becomes the victim. The Iverson Jab and the Kobe Jab are taught and used in these drills. Shooting on the move is illustrated with the Iceland drill, a new version of the elbow to elbow shooting drill. The Downscreen, L-cut, and America's play drills teach players to play without the ball and create good shots. Conditioning plays a part in Baker's drills as seen in the Intensity Jumper chair drill and the cone drill. By incorporating multiple aspects of proper shooting, players execute combo drills to refine their skills. The workout concludes with seven shooting drills that test player's skills and intensity. The Australian 3-man 2-ball shooting drill, X-out drill, Tip & shoot, Close Out 1-on-1 drill, Chaser, and the Eastman Baseline touch drill will push players out of their comfort zones. This DVD is a value to players and coaches because of the creativity and intensity required for each drill. Players will also develop multiple ways to get open, shoot, and score. A great approach to shooting that will push the individual to improve and the team to excel. 58 minutes. 2006.
