Basketball Training Plan

When should I start training?

Well, I've always wanted to make the track. I am a sophomore in high school, so this year I decided I'm going to try for the track team, but I never track, school, nobody is cut from the team. I used to play volleyball and basketball. Late October is too early or too late to start training for a beginner? I plan to start training with a friend who already is on the team for help. What are some exercises to prepare for the upgrading of tracks in the winter? btw I am interested in middle-distance races or jump ..

Well, good for you! Hopefully his coach's philosophy will include "fun run" and "personal best" middle-distance races and jumping two groups completely different from the track (and field) events. Middle Distance – I guess 1 and 2 miles – requires speed development and expansion of long-distance speed. Jumping requires strength and explosiveness, with a high emphasis on technique. You are quite young, where you can try both types of activities, so that later! (And hopefully I will leave the coach!) Just realize that being prepared differently for quite different types of events. Or, talk with your family, your friends, and their coaches, to find what each set of events is like, and believes the potential is for each game. Then consider for itself he wants to do. Get a season schedule outside of training of his coach, and start immediately. If you are competitive, and it seems you are, remember to distances average at least: the races are won in the offseason. Hope this helps!
