Will it work for my costume?

I want to be Troy Bolton for Halloween. I have a light red basketball shirt that my mom bought from Walmart. I iron printing paper. The only thing is that the shirt has a small picture of a basketball in front, who is black. Should I iron the computer name at the top pattern B-ball? Work well? I list below the picture, but the team name and number (which is "Wildcats" "14") would be too low to read when I carry. I'm thinking of printing black text.
